SCAM!!

Domain Support Group
I had just finished reading eatonweb's discovery of this scam when I got an identical phone call.
"yesterday i got a phone call from the Domain Support Group telling me they'd like to send a fax about important domain changes that have recently happened. When asked *what* changes, the woman couldn't answer, trying to say that the fax would explain everything...."
I normally don't get telephone solicitations because I have taken precautions and ask to be removed from any lists when I do get calls. The woman knew my name and my domain name. My caller ID said 'unavailable' which I would not normally answer had I been at that particular phone. Is this a new form of harvesting phone numbers and a new era of annoyimg sales calls? posted by Cyndy | link | | |
